Alltech South Africa appoints new additions to the team.
[STELLENBOSCH, Cape Town] Alltech, the global animal nutrition leader, has recently expanded its team in South Africa, where its Stellenbosch facility serves as the regional headquarters for Africa and the Middle East.
Henk Smit joins the Alltech sales team and will be responsible for launching a new total Mycotoxin Hazard Analysis Program for the on-farm auditing and assessment of mycotoxin risks. The program, called Miko, will be the first of its kind in the country. Henk has studied at Stellenbosch University and at Wageningen University in the Netherlands, and will shortly obtain his Master’s degree in Animal Science.

His studies in Viticulture and Pomology at Stellenbosch University were a natural progression from his childhood growing up on a wine farm, Andries’ experience and knowledge will help support the growing number of South African producers benefitting from specialised Alltech Crop Science solutions for every agronomic and horticultural challenge.
Strengthening the existing marketing department with her international experience in PR, events and corporate marketing is Chanel van Heerden, while Anika Herholdt and Ilsa Kruger have also joined the office-based staff as receptionist and accountant respectively.
“Alltech’s continued success in this region will be built on our investment in bright, enthusiastic and committed employees like these” said Nick Smit, Alltech’s Vice President of South Africa and Middle East.
