Alltech invited 24th National Hog Convention attendees to consider “What if our nutrition kept pace with today’s genetics?”
[MANILA] –Alltech, the global leader in animal health and nutrition, focused on innovation at their booth at the 24th National Hog Convention and Trade Exhibits on March 19-21, 2015 at the PICC Forum 3. Alltech shared the latest developments in nutritional technology and showcased the company’s innovative management programs, including mineral, mycotoxin, gut health and protein management. Experts were also on hand to discuss feed efficiency and Alltech On-farm technologies, particularly the Pig advantage series consisting of Weaner, Sow and Finisher Advantage paks.
The Alltech technical experts were also present to discuss the recent release of the fifth annual Asia-Pacific heavy metal survey. Conducted throughout the Asia-Pacific region on samples of complete feed, inorganic premix, inorganic minerals and organic minerals, the survey offers a snapshot of contamination in the region. Results show 30 percent of the nearly 500 samples tested were contaminated with at least one heavy metal above acceptable EU levels for arsenic (As), cadmium (Cd) and lead (Pb), the highest in the history of the survey.
The Alltech Global Feed survey which was also featured at the booth, received lots of attention from visitors. The survey, which reported a steady increase in global production in 2014, assessed the compound feed production from 130 countries through information obtained in partnership with local feed associations and the Alltech sales team, who visit more than 31,000 feed mills annually.
The team also welcomed attendees to join the Alltech REBELation and be the revolution that business needs. As part of the company’s flagship annual international conference, 17 – 20 May 2015, the company will host four days of thought-provoking talks from industry leaders, merging science, agriculture, entrepreneurship, business and marketing.
“The Hog Con has always provided us with the opportunity to listen to the industry and get feedback from our customers. We are pleased to meet our friends and explore together innovations that will reduce feed costs while at the same time, increase performance and profitability,” said Dr. David Morpeth, Alltech Philippines General Manager.
