Alltech Philippines 20th Anniversary Celebration & ONE Ideas Forum
Alltech Philippines hosted the ONE Ideas Forum on Monday, Oct. 29 in the Ceremonial Hall of the Marriott Hotel in Manila. During the forum, John Young Simpson discussed the growing potential of the Asia-Pacific region in the agribusiness industry. Steve Elliott, global director of Alltech’s mineral division, talked about Alltech’s history over the past 38 years, including the huge advancements made through its Total Replacement Technology (TRT). Finally, Arturo Frio, the first Filipino speaker at ONE: The Alltech Ideas Conference, gave his take on how technology — specifically, going digital — is helping pig farmers and about what an exciting future is in store for that industry.
Along with the Alltech ONE Ideas Forum stopping in the Philippines, the company is also celebrating its 20th year of operations there. Dennis Garcia, general manager of Alltech Philippines, opened a ceremony of celebration by thanking customers for their loyalty over the last two decades, also commenting on how the people associated with Alltech have been the key to its success. Afterward, Alltech President and CEO Mark Lyons shared the Alltech story and gave attendees a glimpse of what Alltech has in store for the future.
Overall, the Alltech ONE Ideas Forum and the following celebration were both exciting and fun, bringing together people from Alltech’s past and future. Dr. Lyons said it best: “You should go to those who celebrate you” — and celebrate, we did.
