Shane Rose and horse Contenda won the final of the Alltech Equine Advantage Eventing series, during the Sydney International Horse Trials , and received his ticket to France, to the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games™ in Normandy. Upon acceptance of this prize Shane announced he has donated the trip to the stallion’s owners, Justine Donohoe and Scott Lawlor.

“The Alltech Equine Advantage Eventing series was a great initiative by Alltech, and showed generous support to the sport of eventing. It gave us as riders, that motivation to strive for the grand prize. In the cross country I was falling behind time, and the thought of the trip to Normandy, spurred me on to get over the line faster!,” commented Rose. “I am so pleased to be able to offer this prize to Justine and Scott, they will have a fantastic time at the Alltech Games!”.

Upon hearing the news of Shane Rose’s victory, owner Justine Donohoe said, “It is incredibly generous and such a wonderful once in a lifetime prize. Thank you”.

Global animal health and nutrition leader Alltech launched the Alltech Equine Advantage Eventing series across 5 qualifying events at CIC1* level in 2013, giving the opportunity to a total of 13 qualified combinations  to compete at the final in the Alltech CIC2* class in Sydney. Over the course of the 5 qualifying events in 2013, Alltech matched the prize money for those who were registered in the series, effectively giving out over $2,000 in bonus winnings, on top of the approximate value of the grand prize of $10,000.

Rose’s score of 51.10 for the Alltech CIC2* at the Sydney International Horse Trials, saw him finish in second place overall, but of the registered riders in the Alltech Equine Advantage series, was the highest placing rider.

“For over 30 years Alltech technologies have become the key the differentiator behind many of the top horse feeds and supplements around the world hobby, performance and competition horses. Thanks to Shane’s generosity, we are delighted to be able to soon welcome the winners of the Alltech Equine Advantage Eventing series, Justine and Scott, in France at the world’s largest horse competition,” said Adam Naylor, general manager, Alltech Australia.
