[DUNBOYNE, Ireland] – Following Alltech’s acquisition of Keenan, a leading farming solutions company in Ireland, the first Keenan “Green Machine” rolled off the factory floor in Borris, Co. Carlow, Ireland today. Keenan, now part of the Alltech family of companies, is the 14th acquisition for Alltech globally since 2011.

“The Keenan team has been hard at work over the past number of days exploring the exciting opportunities afforded by the international reach of Alltech. We are delighted to see the first of the mixer wagons roll off the line today. This is only the start of positive things to come from this team,” said Robbie Walker, division CEO of Keenan – an Alltech company. “Between Alltech’s primacy in science and Keenan’s manufacturing strength and technological know-how, we are on the path to grow this business once again, delivering greater farm efficiency and profitability direct to our farming customers.”

The first Keenan mixer wagon to be completed under Alltech ownership will make its way to Lexington, Kentucky, USA, where it will be on display at ONE: The Alltech Ideas Conference. The annual international conference runs from May 22-25 and has nearly 2,000 attendees already registered from 69 countries to network and discuss world-changing ideas.

“You can feel the energy and excitement in the air here at Keenan. The team has orders now being fulfilled for France, the USA, the U.K., Japan, Ireland, Sweden, New Zealand and South Africa. This is an exciting time for Keenan to join us here at Alltech,” stated Dr. Pearse Lyons, founder and president of Alltech. “Alltech will showcase the “Green Machine” at ONE: The Alltech Ideas Conference where leading farmers, producers and agri-business professionals will learn how we can deliver on-farm nutrition solutions in a new way.”

Keenan will continue to be headquartered in Borris, Co. Carlow, Ireland. Together, Alltech and Keenan employ nearly 300 people in Ireland and close to 5,000 globally.
